The Chair(s) Revamped !!

Done, finished with those two chairs! It took some time, less than I expected though. Wasn't easy with the first one, the cream/latte one , I mean loads of staples and glue that had to be removed before I could start my makeover ;)

The Duck Egg Damask one is my favourite, love the richness of this fabric and the colours! At first couldn't decide what  fabric to pick but as soon as I saw this one I knew I want it !

Some more pics of the chair, can't get enough of it! Hey, I'm not showing off! ;)

Just look on this fabric! I'm planning to use same fabric but different shade on the chair for my desk that is in need of TLC!

Essential Creations first entry!!!

Welcome everyone ;) Giving new life to the second hand furniture is my passion. There's creative idea, paint brush, a lovely cup of coffee and then there is finished piece ready for new home.
I just love it , my head if full of new ideas and can't stop thinking of the new piece I will be working next. I use quality paints, waxes and varnishes and each item, I make most of my paints and colours myself , well... make ;) ...
I mix an ordinary white paint usually water based or latex with other ingredients and pigments to get chalk or milk paint. All furniture is hand painted by myself, most of the furniture is distressed to achieve that soft aged Shabby Chic look. Chalk paint and Milk paint are my favourites , the best for the look I'm after. Don't like really oil based or shellac paints as the finish reminds me of 'factory' like furniture.

Corner unit I recently finished , love the colour..

I so wanted to keep it but the lack of space in my flat is my main issue now.
My living room looks like a flea market stall :)

A bit of distressing always welcome..

On the door I applied a lovely french label graphic I found at The Graphic Fairy  .
Loads and loads of french ephemera and vintage images you will find there.

Link to the graphic I used here .
